The Portico boasts a large metal bed set in a room with four large windows overlooking the gardens. |

It is named "Portico" because it has an airy "porch" kind of feeling. The African art, scenes of the African plains done in colored bark, is in the Kenyan style and available locally in Savannah. |

The room has stained-glass lamps, a period Indian plantation chair, teak furniture from Indonesia, a cedar armoire, and soft duette shades. The room is decorated in soft greens and light yellows and depicts soft faux painting along the baseboards (done by local artists Cully Long and Megan Smith). |

The adjacent bathroom is large, tiled in Italian floor tiles and ornamental classic arches in the wall tiles--grays, blues, greens and russets complement each other and the large Kohler whirlpool (with hand shower)--big enough for two, if you choose. |
