The Company "Botero Homes Gallery, Inc. is a Virginia-based real estate development firm. Founded originally in June 1999 as Country Homes & Land Development Inc., the Company has pursued building projects in the Metropolitan Washington Area ("Metro DC"), with particular emphasis on luxury development projects in Northern Virginia and Montgomery County, Maryland. The company recently completed and sold three homes in the Bradley Hills community of Bethesda, Maryland. Also, two homes were completed and sold in the Lucky Estates community of Tyson's Corner. In 2002, the company sold other homes in the Middleburg area in Virginia. In 2005, Botero homes finished an extraordinary mansion in Great Falls for which it won a "2005 Monument Award ", in a competition with over 2000 builders. At the present time Botero Homes is building three houses in Oakton and two in Great Falls. Though new, it's harks back to classic styling and solid workmanship of a previous era. Omar Botero - Paramo Sr. is the founder of the Company. Mr. Omar Botero is an experienced real estate executive and building professional., with over 30 years in the business. Mr. Omar Botero studied for his PhD in economics at Vanderbilt University in 1965 and is an authority on economic development matters. Through the course of his professional career, Mr. Omar Botero has balanced his training in economics with his passion for real estate development. During his tenure as President and CEO of Compania Andina de Construccion LLC, Mr. Omar Botero built 600 low-income and 117 middle-income units throughout Colombia. Mr. Omar Botero also ran one of the largest real estate companies in Bogotá, where he served as President and CEO of Corredores Inmobiliarios LLC. Mr. Omar Botero was involved in the supervision of heavy construction projects, which included construction of hydropower plants in Colombia and Bolivia, and construction of an oil pipeline from Bolivia to Argentina. Mr. Omar Botero is a citizen of the United States. Maritza Urdinola, Mr. Botero’s wife, is an Attorney. She specialized in Family Law, but later she focused on International Law. She worked as Special Advisor to the Secretary of Agriculture and later she headed the Department of Trade-In Companies in the Ministry of Foreign Trade, in Colombia. At present times she works very closely with Mr. Botero and oversees treasury and selects the finishing of every house built by Botero Homes. Market The Company's target market is the $1.8 million to $4 million single-family luxury home market in Metro D.C. Botero Homes Gallery's annual production goal is to build no more than six homes per year in this market. The Company employs a uniform system in its building approach: (1) traditional brick colonials, (2) built in groups of at least two homes (3) with consistent floor plans and cost specifications (4) priced competitively below competitive average. All homes are built to a total of 6,600 to 10,000 square feet with three finished levels. The Company has built an excellent track record with its suppliers and lenders, while managing to meet and even beat its operating budget projections. Previous Projects The Company Also built homes in the Middleberg area. One such home is located at 9565 Briar Lane, Delaplane, Virginia, and sold at list price for $935,000. The property sits on 14.1 acres of pastoral landscapes with incredible mountain views. The home's facade is a brick colonial with 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, gourmet kitchen and Grecian terrace. Other improvements to the property included three-stall barn, three board fencing, tennis courts, and an in-ground pool. The property is oriented on 31.6 gently rolling acres with improvements including tennis courts, a four-stall barn, three horse paddocks, an in-ground heated pool, and a stocked pond with fishing jetty and gazebo.
