On May 15th, 2006 a vision of a father and son was transformed into a reality. Dennis and Mike Lofton (UGA '96) opened The Dawg House Grill in Savannah for business. Dennis had 2 of his other sons also attend UGA, along with his wife, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and a niece. Their vision was of something special in the restaurant business. A place that would house a history of local heroes from Savannah in all UGA sports along with a very very special Dawg - Savannah's own Uga. Our vision included a menu of fantastic food at a fair price in a relaxed atmosphere radiating with school spirit that could be enjoyed by kids ages 1 to 100.

Savannah is the home of Uga, the number one mascot in all of college sports and we opened The Dawg House with a commitment to excellence in serving our customers. just like the Seiler family. They have shown over 50 years of faithful service in providing UGA fans with the legend of mascots. We want to accomplish the same goal and have our customers have a special feeling when they drive up to our building and see the red and black colors and notice the hedges along the front of the building. Your bones will tingle when you approach the front door and hear that Red Coat marching Band playing your old fight song.

Our staff has the same commitment in serving our customers. They realize people have a choice and when they wear the colors of The Dawg House they perform at their highest level so each of your visits to The Dawg House is special. Mike and Dennis have the same commitment to you, our customer no matter what colors you choose to support; we want history to show that The Dawg House Grill is the National Champion of restaurants.

This is just the beginning, as we open more Dawg House's around Savannah, the rest of the state needs to get ready. We want every community to know what it like to have it's own version of The Dawg House Grill. Each new Dawg House will be able to adorn their walls with pictures of their local Bulldog players of the past. You can experience the school spirit in your own town.
