What a phenomenal evening!  The weather was so gorgeous, most of our attendees stayed outside all evening.  Take a look at the photos and see for yourself.  The warm, sunny weather with beautiful Lake Anne in the background and the umbrella’s provided enough shade for us to enjoy a spectacular evening of conversation and merriment.  We discussed Linda’s new hairstyle, had our first Aussie attend the event (we had another Aussie from the Australian Embassy on the list, but he never showed up) as well Memorial Day holiday plans.  Our gathering was very international with folks from the UK, India, Australia, the Middle East, South America and Africa.  We had 8 newbies, referred to us from various sources (members, David Kamminga’s meetup.com group and the Beltway Networking website) and four of the newbies were the first arrivals along with me.  Our crowd topped 40 plus folks and I expect we will see more at this venue as the summer progresses.   Our hosts ensured we had plenty of fine appetizers to munch on and they even delivered them outside to us.  The energy level was terrific.  Our next event is at Bombay Tandoor (Tysons Corner, VA) on Tuesday, June 9th.  Please continue to drive a big turnout and thank you all for your continued support.
