Although the weather was colder it did not deter another terrific crowd of folks attended our third Café Montmartre event in 2010.  We had at least 50+ participants, with once more a very healthy group of first timers, thanks to the evangelism of the group.  Once again Dip functioned as the group photographer (still not a patch on Ross).  Checkout the photos on the website & see what a fabulous time we had as well as many of the “newbies” who attended.   Jeff Smith from Skyline Metro DC did a stellar job of marketing his company whilst taking the stage as the spotlight firm for March.  We appreciate his efforts and request that if you are looking for tradeshow accessories (banners etc.) please contact Jeff via me.  Topics of discussion included my ever changing haircut, the continued search for jobs, finally warmer weather in the last few weeks (although Tuesday was cool), dancing (Latin and ballroom), the healthcare bill, kayaking and the international attendees (more Brits, Argentinean etc.)  Lastly, more praise for the Café Montmartre location.  Our hosts provided delicious appetizers, both hot and cold.  Different from before it has been our more recent members such as Joanne, Mary Alice, Liliana & David who drove new folks.  Our affiliate groups such as David Kamminga’s Meetup.com group & NortonNet also brought along several people too.  Thanks to you all for spreading the word.  Our next event will be at the Westin Hotel, Tysons Corner, VA on Tuesday, April 6th.  We have a competition; the person that brings the most number of newbies (minimum of 4 to qualify) will receive a complimentary one night stay at the Westin Hotel.  Please invite all the folks you can think of to continue to drive a big turnout and continue 2010 in style and make this year even more successful than 2009!  Thank you all for your continued support.
