Despite the impending threatening dark clouds and a powerful yet quickly passing thunderstorm, we had a steady stream of attendees throughout the evening allowing us to reach a respectable number of participants. The topic of Flag Day (June 14th) did not crop up, but jobs, jobs, jobs as well as living in Chicago, Blues music and world famous artists as well as our bands and DJ’ing all did make for some scintillating conversation. Plus let’s not forget we had 3 newbies in attendance too! Tom Pafford who will be speaking at our invitation only Indian Sub-Continent event was present and he brought along the CEO of one of the Indian companies he helps as part of the GMU Virginia-Indian Alliance. I also learned from Chris that he made a successful connection at our events when one of the members became a client of his firm. Way to go! Our crowd topped 30 folks and our hosts ensured we had plenty of wonderful Indian appetizers to munch on. Our next event is at Café Montmartre (Reston, VA) on Wednesday, June 24th. Please continue to drive a big turnout and thank you all for your continued support.”
