We had a mesmerizing turnout for the event on July 23rd.  The weather barely held going from warm, dry and humid to a quick thunderstorm, followed by another humid dry spell.  We had nearly 60 people in attendance thanks in part to several reasons.  (check out the photos) One was just a good turnout by our club members.  Another was our member Dave Kamminga whose tech guys meetup.com group (that coincidentally holds their event on the same day as our Tavern event) came out in droves and swelled our ranks.  Add to that Danielle Perozovich (from Ameriprise) and Carla Gregory (PropNet) who both brought 5+ newbies.  Last of all, Gary Rockwell’s nephew, Ted, had a meeting for his Law Enforcement buddies and boy did they enjoy our group as well as snag most of the food (big lads!).

The evening was a great success with this melting pot of new folks and groups.  The conversation centered around timeshares (mine as well as other folks), my tan, taking time off in August from the regularly scheduled social gathering and work.

Thank you to those of you who attended.  Noteworthy appearances from the regular members include Carla Gregory, Donna Marino Jamie Munizza, Cheryll Pease, Stacy Northgate, Dan Bell, Bob Meeker, Pedro Morales, Andrew Polcha, George Bishop, Danielle Barber,  Gary Rockwell, Ninad Annavaram,  Suneeta Rana, and Sandy Hallenbeck to name but a few!  Always nice to see these friendly faces!  My heartfelt thanks to you all for the support you have provided, especially to one of the most successful events yet.

We are taking August off from the regularly scheduled social gatherings.  The next event is on Tuesday, September 9th at Chima, Tysons Corner, VA.  See you then and possibly onto a bearable day in Tysons!
