We rocked Café Montmartre with another record breaking kick off to 2010. Was it the spotlighted company SES Corp. or Ross Kruglak and his terrific professional event photography, or just the fact that there was a lot of pent up holiday banter that needed to be expressed. Whatever the reason, we had a magnificent turnout, with a lot of noise and people just eager to communicate and have fun. Café Montmartre was packed with one or two potential complaints that any more attendees and we would have to move. No way as we tried a new format where for a brief few minutes, we featured one of our core members firms and Jay Perrault and Matt Greening did an outstanding job of promoting their firm’s capabilities. We had another phenomenal gathering of newbies, driven by NortonNet, David Kamminga’s IT New Tech meetup.com and special mentions to John Taylor, Claudia and Michael Tobin who also delivered newbies to the gathering. The conversation focused on musicians, heritages (we had a Brit, Irishman, another Brit mixed in with Italian, South African and Canadian), the State of the Union speech, the job search and the new format plus the roving photographer. Our hosts provided appetizers (although to be honest this time I did not get to see it all). Checkout the photos on the website & see what a fabulous time we had as well as many of the newbies who attended. Anyone interested in photos not posted (we had 64 of them), please contact Dip Chandra. Our next event will be at the Westin Hotel in Tyson’s, Corner, VA on Wednesday, February 10th. Please invite all the folks you can think of to continue to drive a big turnout and continue 2010 in style and make it even more successful than before!
