Although the turnout was a lot smaller than the average Café Montmartre event, it was a good turnout considering we were 3 days from Christmas Day and most folks were beginning their holiday break in the next day or two. We had a crowd ready to celebrate the holidays and the end of 2009. Some bought the homemade soap from one of our members permanent table display at Café Montmartre in time for some last minute holiday gifts (or were they for themselves)? The conversation was dynamic and upbeat, especially on the phenomenal success we have been having now in 2 years, plus optimism for 2010, the passing away of loved ones close to the holiday and weather one believes in an after life where your cherished ones reach back to you. Jobs too were at the forefront as we had several new members looking for work and there was a trio of Brits in tow too! We had another good solid turnout of newbies, plus our core members as always turned out in mass numbers. And my personal thanks to Anh Le (owner of the restaurant) for making our event so successful in 2009. Our hosts laid on a tasty set of munchies that were wolfed down quickly. Checkout the photos on the website (even I am in one) & see what a fabulous time we had as well as many of the newbies who attended. Our next event will be to kick of 2010 at the swanky Westin Hotel in Tyson’s Corner, VA on Tuesday, January 5th. Please invite all the folks you can think of to continue to drive a big turnout and begin 2010 in style and make it even more successful than before! Thank you all for your continued support.
