Our first Tavern on the Lake event in 2008 was loud and vibrant, with an average turnout making a big splash and generating lots of warmth and a dynamite atmosphere! We had a turnout of about 35 people with nearly 1/3rd being “newbies”. I appreciate all those who attended and the support you showed. Noteworthy appearances include Cheryll Pease (I think that is 7 consecutive appearances) as well George Bishop, Linda Drake, Carla Gregory and Sandy Hallenbeck. Old favourites Andrew Polcha brought along several new attendees as did Vivek Gupta! The atmosphere was terrific and the food thoroughly delicious. Allison Pellett of Chima was there too and I wanted to acknowledge her presence and continued effort to get to know our group by attending our Reston events. I hope that more of you will be present for either or both of our Northern VA activities. Onto 2008!
