The evening began slowly but as 6pm arrived our crowd became larger and rowdier. We had yet another decent turnout (about 30 to 35) but still not as numerous as the attendance in 2007 when we were conducting one event per month. I am hoping that the malaise is due to the winter and that when warmer weather arrives and the outdoor venue is available, our numbers will surge. Still, the crowd that was there was terrific. Seven “newbies” attended, 4 from the NortonNet affiliate group. Thanks to Fred Harrison (who was present) and his persuasive skills and it was a pleasure to meet all of the new participants. Kirsti (from Finland originally) shared her stories from her recent trip to the Grand Cayman Islands to all, I had several interested parties asking about my FBI Citizens Academy first session and Tavern on the Lake with Jeff behind the bar did a terrific job of serving us. I learned that Chef Tom has moved on so we will wait to see the hors d’oeuvres next time but there was plenty of good food for all. Take a look at the pictures. Special mention for the appearances of the following folks: Allison Pellett (from Chima), Jamie Munizza, Mike Garvey, Mike Staso, George Bishop, Rob Silva, Tim Harvey, Terry Krohn, Andrew Polcha, Pete Zadawaski, Cheryll Pease, Mike McConchie, Aparna Moondra, Margaux Gutierrez and Danielle Shoot to name but a few. Oh and of course drummer, Eric Nelson from the Crimestoppers, stopped in too. The evening was delightful and we had plenty of opportunity to make some great connections. I am looking forward to seeing more of you at both of our events in March. Onto Spring of 2008 and warmer weather! Dip Chandra Business Objects |
