Our crowd was bolstered by a large influx of the IT Tech folks from Dave Kamminga’s Meetup.com group. It was refreshing to have such an excellent turnout (nearly 50 attendees) that was heavily populated by the Meetup.com members. Good to see the members respond so positively after a below than average turnout in Tysons on 2/3. The evening was warmer and folks came all through the evening maintaining a steady stream of attendees from 5:45pm to about 8:30pm. The noise level was up with the sparkling conversation and the generous helpings of appetizers from our attentative host, Anh Le, made for a delightful time. I know that Anh Le is grateful for our business on what is normally a slow night for her, so we continue to maintain our commitment to be at Café Montmartre for all of 2009. We had an unusually large number of newbies including folks from another affiliate group, NortenNet, and so the evening was spent making new connections and getting to know some prospective members. We also had a couple of members that have not been present recently, so it was great to reacquaint with those folks too. Our next event is at Bombay Tandoor on Wednesday, March 11th and I am hopeful that we will have an enormous crowd that night.
