Despite the news that the Westin Hotel does not want to give us complimentary hors d’oeuvres any more (how can that be since we drive 50+ people to their hotel once per month), we had a spectacular turnout this holiday season.  At least 70+ folks showed up to discuss a multitude of topics.  The terrible frigid weather that has struck so early, introductions to Sarah Armstrong who chatted to folks about her wonderful charity a Brighter Tomorrow for Africa (please donate by going here to the Open Challenge).  In addition, job search is still a strong topic for most folks & the discussion around the Westin and the possibility we may have to find another location for our Tyson’s Corner events.  One of the “Young ‘Uns”, Erik joined us with his dad Tim again and made a couple of stellar contacts.  We had about 13 newbies this session. Thank you all (Fred Harrison and NortonNet, Mark Rogoff, Sara Nabizadeh (herself a newbie), Alex Burns, Joe Wood (another newbie who brought 2 guests), Eileen Fox, Sandy Hallenbeck, Ninad, Sharman & Kathleen Sober) for referring our newbies and sending them to our event.
