Our return to the Westin in Tyson's Corner was celebrated with yet another excellent turnout of 70+ folks. Despite the last minute change from the Bombay Tandoor, our group certainly voted enthusiastically with their feet to come back to this swanky, luxurious, fun venue. The crowd continued to grow throughout the evening as more participants made it through the holiday traffic to sit in those comfortable leather chairs. Topics for discussion included the missing Stacy, holiday shopping status, are we coming back to the Westin in 2010 as well as folk's holiday plans. We had another good solid turnout of newbies, plus our core members as always turned out in mass numbers. We have to give a personal thanks to Ashley Alcorn (Catering Manager at the Westin and an avid it4dc member) for making this happen. Our hosts laid on a plethora of tasty, hot food munchies that were "scarfed" (Brit phrase meaning to wolf down, eat quickly) up quickly. And the bar staff kept up with our beverage requests by walking around the room to take drinks orders! Our next event will be the Holiday (Part II) gathering at Café Montmartre, Reston, VA) on Tuesday, December 22nd.
