The month of August witnessed two marvelous intimate evening dinners where a smaller, but closer crowd of core club members spent some real quality time together, discussing all kinds of topics with a level of intensity that is not usually found in the traditional social gatherings.  We enjoyed an hour or so of happy hour times before sitting down to a dinner where about 12 of us gathered around a large table to eat dinner at Chimas (August 5th) and Tavern on the Lake (August 21st).  These smaller functions have been enthusiastically endorsed by not only our core members who attended, but those who sadly could not be there but expressed their wish for doing more of these.  The weather cooperated for the Tavern on the Lake event where we enjoyed Lake Anne music, gorgeous Fall like weather and the view of the lake to ease us into the evening.

So, I appreciate all of you who cooperated with dealing with the check, the location, the meals and made the time to make these a success.  Let’s see what we can do for another one later in the year?
