It may have been dreary & grey outside, but Natasha & the crowd who gathered that evening made it yet another enjoyable time. Natasha's wonderful high-end, custom, coordinated invitations and accessory business generated lots of conversation and several leads for her start up business. Chef Tom again delivered with the cuisine which was decidedly delicious and exotic. Win the bartender was outstanding as are all the staff at Tavern on the Lake, who continue to out perform from the previous month with their food, service and wonderful flexibility. The crowd was smaller than in the past, maybe due to vacationers and lots of government end of year business. Those of us who attended had a wonderful evening of chatter, noticeably, less "newbies" than past events were present. Special mention to the perennial attendees: Paulette Gilmore (Creative Visions); Michael Mort; Margaux Gutierrez (Northrop Grumman); Faith Cooke (Booz Allen & Hamilton); Linda Drake (FBC Services); Carla Gregory (PropNet); Dan Bell (General Dynamics); Cheryll Pease; Bob Meeker (USPTO); Donna Marino ; Rob Silva (Smith Barney), Danielle Shoot (Northrop Grumman); Lisa Rivel (Preferred Offices); Jeffrey King (Northrop Grumman) etc. Our crowd stayed on past 10pm to wrap up another vibrant, funny, spirited, scintillating evening. Other companies represented included Business Objects, Imagination Creations and my lovely wife, Valerie. Our next event is a return to Tysons Corner, VA on Tuesday, September 18th at Chimas Restaurant (next to the Marriott Hotel (Shula's & the Tower Club building). For those who purchase "An Opaque War", Fred Harrison will be signing copies of his book.
