Dreary weather with potential rain did not dampen our spirits and participation.  We had an excellent turnout, easily 60+ folks who dropped in throughout the evening.  There was some confusion as to which event the competition was for April versus May.  Good fortune for us as several folks brought 3 newbies!   Once more Ross our professional event photographer is back again.  Checkout the photos http://www.it4dc.com/it4dc.php?page=pics.php on the website & see what a fabulous time we had as well as many of the "newbies" who attended.   22 of the 47 photos have been posted.  If you did not see your photo, let me know and I will locate it and send it to you.  Topics of discussion included the Washington Capitals playoff game, Ritzya stepping in so magnificently at the last minute to be our Spotlight firm.  What an unforgettable performance with little to no notice!  Also, we chatted about the many photos of Dip with the ladies in our group plus some longtime friends of the group showing up after a while (Gretchen & Jon).  Lastly, more praise for Anh-Le and her Café Montmartre team for providing delicious appetizers, both hot and cold.  Special thank you’s to the following members who brought along our first timers: Cheryll (2) & Pedro (3), & the rest all brought one each: Sandy, Rebecca, Karen, NortonNet, McLean Bible Church, Nazanin, Tom, Cecelia & Saya. Thanks to you all for spreading the word & remember if you invite someone, please attend yourself.  Our next event will be at Westin Hotel in Tyson’s Corner, VA on Wednesday, May 5th.  Our competition; the person that brings the most number of newbies (minimum of 4 to qualify) will receive a complimentary one night stay at the Westin Hotel will begin again for the May event so please start working your friends and colleagues. Please invite all the folks you can think of to continue to drive a big turnout and continue 2010 in style and make this year even more successful than 2009!  Thank you all for your continued support.
