Our competition & prize was not quite enough to stir the members to producing a massive crowd, but we still had a big attendance at the last Westin Hotel in 2010.  We had at least 60 participants, with again a very healthy group of first timers, thanks to the evangelism of the group by many individuals.  We were pleased (especially Dip) that Ross our professional event photographer is back again.  Checkout the photos http://www.it4dc.com/it4dc.php?page=pics.php on the website & see what a fabulous time we had as well as many of the "newbies" who attended.   24 of the 60 photos have been posted.  If you did not see your photo, let me know and I will locate it and send it to you.  Topics of discussion included my ever changing look, Burt Heacock’s Villa in Spain raffle, my wife Val showing up as well as my friend Mary & her beau in from Albuquerque, NM.  Our new puppy’s photo, Nutella, was brazenly shown off to the group as well as several success stories including Christine’s new job at Deloitte (thanks to our Deloitte members) & the competition being a failure in not driving enough newbies.  Lastly, more praise for Ashley and her Westin team for providing delicious appetizers, both hot and cold.  Special thank you’s to the following members who brought along our first timers: Christine (2), James, Gaurav, Rebecca, Burt, Cheree, Sandy, Dean, Paul & Jackie (2). Thanks to you all for spreading the word & remember if you invite someone, please attend yourself.  Our next event will be at Café Montmartre, Lake Anne Plaza, Reston, VA on Wednesday, April 21st.  Manoj Bhatia from Network Runners will be our spotlight firm.  Our competition; the person that brings the most number of newbies (minimum of 4 to qualify) will receive a complimentary one night stay at the Westin Hotel will begin again for the May event so please start working your friends and colleagues.
